“I can smell your fear.” I stated as I leaned in close to him and inhaled deeply that scent I know so well. Despite what some people claim, fear has a very distinctive smell, for me it smells somewhat sweet and warm, a little like slightly rotted meat but far far milder. I rather enjoy it. If you are very attentive, you can hear the dull tones of the heart pumping faster than what is normal and see the slight twitching of muscles, as well as the random shifts in breathing, mostly caused by butterflies in the stomach. “Do I frighten you?”
