Let me just point out that nothing compares to actually going to one of my workshops and learning from me personally, there is an insane amount of information that simply cannot be covered by watching a few videos or having me there to guide you through the steps and nuances when I finally stop talking. But for those people who are overseas or who are too nervous to attend one, I hope these help a little 🙂

Limited Edition Black Hawk Mk2 Collection

For those who are not already aware, we currently have a Kickstarter on the go for a limited edition series of floggers. You can read all about it below or on our Kickstarter page at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/aemiliahawk/limited-edition-black-hawk-mark-2-collection

About

The use of a flogger is usually among the first steps after discovering BDSM and to continue from our previous project: The Art of Flogging DVD, we are now aiming to bring some of the best quality toys to enthusiasts all over the world.

What is this project?

My business, Kabunza Craftwerks, specialises in building bespoke BDSM orientated toys and accessories. My own set of toys, the original limited edition Black Hawk floggers, is now ready for retirement after almost 6 years of loyal service. It is my intention to build a new set of Black Hawk impact toys for myself and give everyone the chance to own their own personalised variation. Like we did for the first set, we would like to offer this new set for a limited time of one month. We have already built prototypes and have taken photos of them so that you can see what we are offering.

Where will the money go?

Most of the cost will go into the purchasing of materials. With this exclusive range of toys, we have chosen some of the most comfortable, durable and aesthetic building products available. These materials also need to be packaged and shipped to our workshop. What is left goes into paying kickstarter fees and for the time it takes to create them as each set is 100% bespoke and takes about 20 hours to complete.

Why Kickstarter?

Due to the expense of the materials involved, Kickstarter allows us the opportunity to be able to offer luxury items such as these for a limited time. Essentially acting as a kind of pre-order, these kinds of toys would be difficult for us to offer through normal circumstances.

Rewards!

Because our skills have advanced so much since the original Black Hawk floggers were made, we are offering 6 variations in the Mk2 range and 8 pledge levels. The details of these sets can be seen below:

  • The leather: A luxurious leather originating from Spain known as “Hunters leather”. This is a very soft leather with a nice amount of weight for its thickness. Each toy has exactly 42 falls (because this is the meaning to life, the universe and everything).
  • The o-rings: Ouroboros (a snake swallowing its own tail). Nickel free.
  • The chainmail: A style of broken Full Persian weave which we call “Hawk’s weave”. All in blackened steel and very strong. The length of the chains in our Nunchaku floggers are 3 inches and in our poi floggers, 8.5 inches. This weave is only ever used in Black Hawk’s.
  • The conchos (luxury sets only): Brass ropework filigree set in stainless steel. These conchos will be engraved with your own initials or two letters of your choice. Making each set unique.
  • The finger loops (Poi and Finger sets only): Double layered for added comfort and aesthetic.
  • The handles (Nunchaku only): Made from chinese red oak with a steel ball bearing swivel joint for added maneuverability.

Pledge level 1: Black Hawk Mk2 Finger Floggers, Standard edition.

Pledge level 2: Black Hawk Mk2 Nunchaku Floggers, Standard edition.

Pledge level 3: Black Hawk Mk2 Poi Floggers, Standard edition.

Pledge level 4: Black Hawk Mk2 Finger floggers, Luxury edition.

Pledge level 5: Black Hawk Mk2 Nunchaku Floggers, Luxury edition.

Pledge level 6: Black Hawk Mk2 Poi Floggers, Luxury edition.

Pledge level 7: One of every standard edition set. Poi, Nunchaku and Finger floggers.

Pledge level 8: One of every luxury edition set. Poi, Nunchaku and Finger floggers.

Stretch Goals!

We have several stretch goals in mind.

And finally

Thank you for taking the time to take a look at our Kickstarter and sharing the word. We appreciate all the support and encouragement we receive from the BDSM and alternative communities. We hope this project encourages people to play and paves the way for many more in the future.

Disclaimer: Floggers are for use by consenting adults as novelties, fashion accessories, and sexual toys. We do not encourage violence towards others and assume no responsibility for unsafe, improper, or illegal use of these items. Please be safe, sane, and consensual.

I need a PA!

Due to too much work on my plate these days, I am finding it incredibly difficult to keep my blog updated on a regular basis.

It is like someone repeatedly slaps me across the forehead with a paddle that has the word “Busy” embossed into it.

Lots of photos from various things coming soon. Lots of events, photo shoots, videos, Kabunza stuff etc. The usual things I mention and always seem to lack the time to post. A video blog may be an easier thing to do.

Apologies for the lack of a “Quotations 2016” post. I have not even had the time to keep track of them.

At least I am getting my events list of 2017 slowly sorted out.

I need a PA :/

Hawk flies for Hospis

As many people may be aware from one of my previous posts, my father was suffering from terminal cancer. Sadly, he recently passed away.

It has taken me a while to be able to stomach writing about it here on my blog.

My father was a paratrooper in his youth and when he retired he continued to jump for recreation. He was still skydiving at 71 years old.

When he found out he had terminal cancer, one of his goals was to attain some sort of skydiving license at 300 jumps. He trudged through the pain and sickness with an insanely positive outlook in an attempt to achieve his goal. So much so, that he attracted the attention of local papers, a radio station and was even videoed as an encouraging example for patients suffering from cancer.

11088604_651090451703699_3430348990099557468_o

He passed away 4 jumps short of reaching his goal.

To this end, myself and 3 other members of my family have agreed to do the last jumps for him.

It should come as no surprise that I have chosen Hospis Care for cancer patients as my chosen charity to collect for. They were the people who looked after my father in his final weeks and I saw first hand the marvellous work they do.

You can sponsor me for this jump at any of the events at which I am showing face over the next month. The sponsor forms and details are brought with me to every event Kabunza or I attend.

Alternatively, you can donate online at: https://www.justgiving.com/Aemilia-Hawk

I have already been asked if the jump will be filmed and I plan to pay the extra to make it happen. Hopefully the jump I do for my Dad will be up on Youtube not long after completion.

Let me thank everyone in advance who plan on donating. It is an incredibly worthy charity.

The date for the jump is the 19th August 2015. Weather permitting.

Wish me luck.

We did it!

It is amazing and heart warming to see so many enthusiastic kinksters help us raise the funding for this project!

As we go through the creative process, we will be keeping everyone up to date on our project page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/835910848/the-art-of-flogging

We want to send huge hugs and an massive “Thank You!” to everyone who has pledged! Lets fling some floggers!

The Art of Flogging with Aemilia Hawk – Our Kickstarter is now live!

We have only 30 days! Go to https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/835910848/the-art-of-flogging to see our live Kickstarter page and make a pledge!

About this project

With the release of movies such as “50 Shades of Grey” and “The Secretary”, I have noticed a large number of newcomers to the BDSM scene over the past few years, many of whom are still finding their feet and exploring this marvellous world. The use of a flogger is usually among the first steps after discovering this alternative lifestyle and with “The Art of Flogging” DVD project, our aim is to bring the basics of practice and safety to these newcomers, and to enthusiasts all over the world, while still being able to teach advanced techniques to those who are experienced in the practice of impact play. A complete comprehensive resource for any flogging enthusiast, our DVD will be packed with tutorials and instructional videos. Here are some of the things we plan on including:

  • Beginner instructionals.
  • Practice techniques.
  • Safety tutorials.
  • Warm up techniques.
  • Sensation play with floggers.
  • Rest techniques.
  • Flogger maintenance.
  • Advanced techniques: Carouselling, Ricochet Flogging, 4-point and 6-point Florentine flogging.
  • After-care advice.
  • And much more!

My Background

I am the owner of Kabunza Craftwerks and have been a lifestyle practitioner of BDSM for many years. I have been in the media as a mentor in various BDSM arts and I frequent the majority of the south of England teaching workshops and demonstrations as well as doing performances of these arts. While I practice many forms of BDSM, I am mostly known for my expertise in impact play.

Where will the money go?

With having passionate people working on this project, at £1500 we are looking at the bare minimum of funding. Of course, the more we raise, the better a DVD we will be able to produce. But with that £1500 backing we will be able to pay for:

  • Video recording equipment, lighting etc.
  • Editing and sound.
  • The required software and personnel.
  • Studio space rental.
  • Our first production of DVDs.

Rewards!

We are offering numerous rewards for those who give us their hearty support! From a copy of the DVD when it is complete to a huge set of custom designed BDSM impact toys, we will be working our socks off to bring you some amazing goodies. Plus, all of our rewards will include free postage worldwide! One of the special things which we are releasing for this Kickstarter is the limited editionKabunza Minipoi “Black Hawk” replica flogger. These floggers will not be available to purchase and will be made purely for those people who have selected to donate £50 or more.

Why Kickstarter?

People have been asking me to make tutorial videos for quite some time. I decided that if I were to do something along these lines, then I should approach doing it as I would approach building a set of Kabunza floggers; I should aim for making something ‘exceptional’, and making decent tutorials is no cheap endeavour. They require time, space and professionals, which in the end not only greatly increases the quality of the finished product but also requires a significant chunk of money. A friend of mine suggested Kickstarter as a means to achieve this goal and after some research and thought on the matter, here we are!

How can you help?

The first answer is: make a pledge! We urge you to get involved. Even a small pledge helps to get us that much closer to our goal! Secondly, let everyone know about our Kickstarter project and the DVD! In order to achieve our goal we really need to reach out into our communities and spheres of influence to get the word out there. You can post on Fetlife, Twitter, Facebook, and even email this Kickstarter link to those you think would like to know about the project. Every person you tell about “The Art of Flogging” is a huge help.

Thank you for your support!

Kicking!

Just to bring everyone up to date on “The art of Flogging” DVD Kickstarter project:

The company chosen to work with us on filming the project is: The Kink Domane.
They will be able to supply the equipment, manpower, filming, editing and sound for the DVD.
We have already finished the promotional video for the project and we are hoping to have it live within a week.
We will have only 30 days to reach our target goal and all information about what we hope to include will be posted as soon as the project goes live. I will be supplying a list of the things which the project funds will need to be spent on in order to complete the project, so everyone will know where the money is going. Obviously the more funding we make, the more we will be able to do and the better we will be able to do it.

All advertising and backing of this project will be greatly appreciated and there will be some nice rewards given away to people who lend monetary support to the project.
There will also be options for kink orientated businesses to be plugged in the DVD by sponsoring the project.

I have started a group on Fetlife to spread the word and keep people who do not follow my blog up to date. You can join this group at:
https://fetlife.com/groups/119378
This should end up being something pretty awesome.

Kabunza: Bullwhips

As usual, I seem to be incredibly busy lately. But here is a picture of something shiny to make up for it!

10341826_559486130834706_8803819825058491326_n

Anyone who knows me, or follows my blog, knew that I would end up building these eventually. I have made 4 bullwhips so far (of varying lengths) and while I do not plan on taking any custom orders for them yet, I will be building one on occasion to be put up for sale in our Kabunza Etsy shop. So, keep your eye out for them if you fancy grabbing one for your toy bag.

At the moment, I simply do not feel that I am good enough to be building them to specific measurements and criteria given to me by others. Hence why I will be building them at my own pace.

To date I have only been playing with nylon, but as I improve in skill, I am sure that I will end up wanting to experiment with kangaroo hide. So keep your eyes open for more posts along similar lines.

The whip in the photo is a 5 foot 12 plait black nylon paracord bullwhip with 2 bellies (one 8 plait and one 6 plait). Stainless steel 402 grade ball bearing shot loaded braided polyester core with a waxed nyltex shot blocker, 4 point nylon fall hitch and a 10 inch stainless steel rod handle. Stainless steel 8mm ring chainmail transition and pommel.

Flogging workshop at Dream Visions studio – Instructional video 05/10/14

Once more, I popped along to the Gatwick Dungeon in Surrey to teach a flogging workshop. Due to the amount of new people, I found myself repeating a few techniques that were shown in the previous workshop that was hosted 6 months ago. However, in this video there is a couple of pointers on sensation play and rest techniques that I often overlook in a workshop but which tend to come in really handy.

Let me point out again that nothing compares to actually going to one of my workshops and learning from me personally, there is an insane amount of information that simply cannot be covered by watching a few videos or having me there to guide you through the steps and nuances when I finally stop talking. But for those people who are overseas or who are too nervous to attend one, I hope this helps a little.

A big thankyou to Dream Visions Studio for filming this video at the workshop and to my play partner, Jinx, who did a little bunnying for me.

And, of course, if you want to get yourself a decent pair of floggers or a Dragons tail, check out my Kabunza Etsy shop!
