Kinkfest 2015

Once again, I braved the largest kink event in the UK to teach workshops.

Every year Kinkfest UK hosts a large educational conference and party over the course of a weekend, centred around all aspects of BDSM and fetish. It has a huge assortment of workshops, classes and discussion groups.

Unfortunately, this year I did not manage to “get my rigger on” at the peer rope. But I did have lots of fun teaching several groups of tremendously awesome people.

If you get the chance to attend in 2016, it is something I highly recommend and I will be back for a third year to run workshops on the art of flogging. It is held at the Xtasia club in Birmingham. If you read my blog and spot me there in 2016, come over and say “Hi!”.

They have expressed a wish to have some kind of flogging performance at the next one. About the best I could do would probably be to just get up and play, but we shall see how it goes and what they have in mind closer to the date.

A lot of photos were taken of me at the 2015 event by the official photographers. But many contain nudity and are images of me at play while attending the afterparty, so I will be restricting my blog to having only a few. The rest can be seen in my Fetlife gallery if you are curious.

If photography at an event is something that makes you nervous, Know that the event photographers always seek permission before taking photographs and they are incredibly discrete. Any face in an image that is not the centre of attention is burred completely out.

All these photos were taken at my Art of Flogging workshops. Enjoy.

Mine.

The softest of black suedes. A small sliver of a rare South African skin that I had been saving for something special. It was laid out flat next to the vibrant purple of a Spanish relaxed grain leather. The contrast was beautiful. The colours complimented each other and as I sat down to study the striations and view the detailing of the leathers further, she wrapped her arms around my shoulders and hugged me from behind. Nothing was said, she simply wanted to see.

It needed to be perfect. It needed to be special. She had picked the leathers, her favourite colours, and I was about to build it for her with my bare hands while she watched.

There is nothing quite like the smell of freshly cut leather. My blade sliced through her choices effortlessly as I cut the strips required. A soft but strong backing of the blackest night followed by the warm and vibrant colours that would accentuate and bring life to that darkness. I could not help feeling slightly amused at our dynamics similarities.

Metals next. The strongest of steel. Cold and hard. An armour of chain for its front and a little love willed into every ring as they were forcefully weaved together. As the skies darkened and turned to night, I flicked my workbench lamp on. The dim light glistened off the metal as I held it aloft to look closely at the weaved florets and I could feel her smile as she continued to watch it take shape in my hands.

The next step was aesthetics. Those little touches of beautification. Not because it needed such things, but because they are desired. The reflected shine from the steel bezel blazed into my eyes as I placed it in position, enhancing its every detail. The victorianesque patterns which oddly reminded me of rope whenever I looked at them closely were glistening in the light and I began to reminisce of the previous evenings play in the very spot where we were now. I was tempted to repeat the process. Her scent was constant and delicious, I could feel her soft breath on my neck and it would have been so easy to simply throw down my tools and grab her for another ropey roll on the floor, but this was important, so as I brought the hammer down roughly atop the clear crystal rivet center of the final touches, I shook the desire to the side and promised myself the pleasure at a later date.

It was late by the time I had finished. All was quiet as I stood in front of her with the finished creation and held it in the light where she could see it clearly.

“Are you sure?” I asked as I gave her a meaningful look.

Her meek grin was incredibly cute as she nodded back at me.

The last ingredient was already in place as I slipped the leather and steel collar around her.

Trust.

Unequivocal. Clear and pure. Trust.

Her smile widened as the click of the padlock shattered the silence and as I pulled her towards me by the belt, I gave her left nipple a playful pinch followed by a toothy grin.

“Mine” I growled through the smile as I wrapped her in an embrace.

Kabunza: More “whump”

At Kabunza, I am forever trying to improve our creations. Our range of floggers have gone through many ‘upgrades’ over the past year and personally using them on a frequent basis helps a lot when it comes to the refinement of our designs.

With the recent success of our Minipoi floggers and their steady introduction into our permanent products, I thought it was time to upgrade our normal floggers once again.

This weekend, Sunday 9th March, will be our first ever trade stand in London at the LFF (London Fetish Fair). I thought it might be a good place to introduce the latest upgrade. I have worked out a new measuring system to squeeze in as much leather into our flogger O-rings as possible, adding extra weight and thickness to all our standard ranges of Poi and Nunchaku floggers.

I want to bring you more “whump” with every spin!

Even better will be the fact that our prices will not budge! Instead, I will be placing all the older sets of our floggers on sale at a reduced price until the last stock of our previous design are gone.

In the words of Austin Powers: “London, baby, yeah!”

Product review: Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Spandex Open Mouth Hood

One of the things that I found incredibly useful during my time as a professional Dominatrix was the quickness and ease of a decent sensory deprivation hood. Sometimes I would have visitors who would enjoy nothing more than to be confined, shackled and deprived of their senses for hours at a time and with no other interaction. A hood gives a sense of confinement that a blindfold simply cannot.

The Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Spandex Open Mouth Hood is a good beginner hood. Unlike a full leather construction, It allows basic shadows and movement to be seen through the material. Which is perfect for anyone who has difficulty with mild claustrophobia (while still wanting to undergo what their dominant wishes to put them through) or anyone who prefers to give their play partners a very small chance of ascertaining when the next strike will hit during play (sometimes little spoilers can be very fun).

Fetish Fantasy Spandex Open Mouth Hood

One of the things to also take note of with this particular product is the material it is made from. Very stretchy and able to fit most head sizes but also of such a thin material that when ready to upgrade to a full leather hood, this one would make a very comfortable underlay.

What more can I say? Another groovy product from Uberkinky.

Fire Poi at the DV8 Fetish festival, 29/06/13

Over the weekend, Benjamin, my partner and I attended the DV8 fetish festival in Kent. The Kabunza trade stand did well, we met many kinksters and even had a dip in the pool (nudity was mandatory).

As soon as darkness descended, I started messing around with my fire poi; I tried attempting some slower spinning and single poi spinning. However, I failed miserably at the slow single poi spinning near the end. I just get too excited.

But it attracted quite a crowd and a couple of videos were recorded of one of the burns.

So, enjoy.

Product review: Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Designer Paddle

If it has not been apparent from my gallery or previous blog posts; One of my favorite BDSM activities is impact play. Particularly floggers.

However, impact play can take many forms; Whips, floggers, canes and paddles to name the most common.

Fetish Fantasy Designer Paddle:

This month, the wonderful people at Uberkinky have sent me one of their Fetish Fantasy Designer Paddles to test run and review.

Personally, I tend to use paddles as warm-up tools before moving on to heavier impact play like whips or canes, or I will use them as an accent to a session of spanking to save my hand (and claws) from prolonged impact play. I consider the humble paddle to be a very handy addition and ‘must-have’ to any arsenal of BDSM toys.

The Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Designer Paddle is probably one of the lightest paddles I have ever used. They have opted for a handle which has been created completely out of hard leather and has no wooden or metal core; the reason for its lightness and slightly ‘whippy’ effect when using it heavily.

It’s rounded edges are an added bonus for those who prefer to simply heat the center of each rear-end cheek and while it sometimes feels a little flimsy when in use, it definitely makes an accurate and stingy impact.

The hard leather is of a smooth surface, making it easy to wipe clean and sterilize and a leather cord is supplied for when it is simply needed to hang on a wall or belt for show, as a constant reminder of the last play, or as a visual deterrent for any menials who tend to be a little bratty.

But there is one thing I rate incredibly highly on this item, more than anything else, and that is the sound: this paddle made a wonderful slap which echoed throughout my dungeon.

I have a feeling that I will be using this little toy quite often.

Product review: Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy Kit

Recently, I have been contacted by a company known as Uberkinky and requested to test and review some of their kink and fetish related products in my dungeon.

Having experience in most areas of kink and a steady supply of willing menials to inflict the said equipments on due to my professional services, I must have seemed a logical choice as a product tester.

Of the first 6 options for testing, I decided to go with the Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy Kit. This Item looked similar to a Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) unit and having had some fun in the past with my dungeons TENS unit, including using it for forced masturbation (long story), I thought it would be good for a starter review.

Seemingly grateful that I had agreed to take on this project for them, they also sent me some MAWA Klamps to have a bit of fun with.

Without further ado:

Uberkinky Fetish Fantasy Shock Therapy Kit:

My original assumptions were correct, the UFFSTK is basically a low setting TENS unit designed to therapeutically stimulate nerves with electrical currents. In essence, causing sensations similar to vibrating, tickling, pulsing and on the higher settings, pinching and mild pain.

Overall, I could not find any downside to the product save for not being supplied with batteries. The pads are easy to clip on and the unit takes less than a minute to set up and use. The pads have a thick layer of strong yet comfortable adhesive which is wipe clean and easily reusable. The unit itself is pocket size and easily slipped into a stocking top or pocket should you wish your hands free to play with other sensations or tools while the unit is active and the cables are long enough to keep movements unrestricted. All in all, a fun little machine which is suitable for both bedroom and dungeon play.

One thing I must stress though: This toy is nowhere near as powerful as some of the E-stim, iStim or other similar TENS unit type products, However, it is also nowhere near as expensive as those. In my opinion it is the perfect model for beginners, bedroom BDSM or for people who want to experience a few of the electrical nerve stimulation sensations before going out and getting one of the stronger options.

MAWA Klamps:

I was not asked to review these, but I love these things.

Little clamps which can be pinched anywhere on the body. They have little indents which make them easy to open and close, a soft rubber coating over the tips to make them a little easier to handle if on the receiving end as well as creating a non-slip surface to make sure that when applied, they stay put.

Multiple uses, always handy for any BDSM orientated play, very fun.

———————————————————————————————————————————————–

This blog post is, of course, completely superfluous as it will probably not be read by any of the ignoramuses who continue to ask these kinds of questions.

People need to make at least a little effort.

A Velvet Thought – Mistresses Musings: “Demandez, et l’on vous donnera.”

Translation: “Ask, and you shall receive.” (probably)

Anyone who actually takes the time to get to know me a little will probably tell you that I am far from prudish, that I am outgoing, that I am open minded and that I have a relatively pleasant demeanor despite being quite eccentric (I do try to quell most of my instincts when in polite society).

Once you get past the evil aura, teeth, claws, demonic nature, unholy eating habits, disgust of the mundane, and other small, often unnoticeable abominable characteristics; I am actually not so bad.

My point is: I am not adverse to hosting workshops or demos at events, I am not adverse to performing on stage, I am not adverse to doing fun BDSM/fetish orientated things for “good” causes or venues and I am definitely not adverse to giving play demonstrations or play tips to people who meet me and make an effort to talk/chat to me at events (just remember that I am often there with my own submissive and partner or for my own reasons, so do not believe this is an invitation to take up my entire evening). Indeed, I have done all of these things and more/others in the past.

There is simply a small price: You must swallow your fear or aversions, approach me, make an effort to talk to me and request it.

If you do not ask, if you do not make your hopes known to me, you will have no chance at all; because I will rarely, if ever, volunteer.
